Description of Fees:
Application Fee
A nonrefundable, one-time application fee of $300 must be included with your application.
Program Fee*
The program fee is due upon receipt of your welcome letter and must be received by UCLA Extension six weeks before the program start date. Accepted payment methods are cash, check, credit card, or bank wire transfer. Credit card payments are the fastest and easiest payment method. Please note that the program fee may vary per quarter, and is subject to change at any time.
Course Fees
Fees for enrollment in individual courses are not included in the Program Fee and must be paid separately for each course. Fees for one 4-unit course range from approximately $600 to $1,600. You will need to be enrolled in 12 units of coursework.
Health Insurance
UCLA health insurance fee is included in the on-campus program fee and is required for each student enrolled in Study Abroad and any dependents, if applicable. Under the insurance plan, you can use UCLA medical facilities and services. Coverage begins on the first day of the quarter and ends one day after the last day of the quarter. Health Insurance is not available for those enrolled in the online program and has been removed from the program fee.
Housing & Living Expenses
Study Abroad at UCLA fees do not include housing and living expenses. You and/or your sponsor must cover these expenses. You can find information on housing here.
Additional Fees
Some courses may involve special equipment, laboratory fees, special computer hardware or software, and/or other special materials not covered by your Study Abroad at UCLA fees. In such cases, you may have to pay an additional fee to cover those expenses. You will also need to buy your own textbooks.
